Beach Bash

Beach Bash is Australia’s sandiest obstacle challenge with the aim of promoting health, fitness and fun. Held at North Kirra, Beach Bash is an event for all the family and will see people of all ages competing over the four kilometre Adventure Course or six kilometre Challenge Course.

HSBC International Gold Coast Sevens

Two days of adrenaline-filled Rugby Sevens, featuring some of the world’s best athletes and Australia’s biggest fancy dress party. With 16 participating countries, fans will fly in from all over, guaranteeing a fantastic atmosphere as countries such as Fiji, England, Australia and New Zealand fight in the Olympic qualifier.

Tour De Valley

  • Where: Merv Craig Sporting Complex, Currumbin Waters
  • Cost: $50

The Tour De Valley is a cycling event that follows the proposed course for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Riders of all abilities can take part and can choose to ride either 36 or 72 kilometres. It also includes an individual time trial event that caters for riders wanting to push themselves.

International Marine Expo

So much more than a boat show, the Gold Coast International Marine Expo showcases everything from kayaks to superyachts, fishing rods to jet skis. A huge range of exhibitors creates an incredible program of events and visitors can enjoy demonstrations and presentations from some of the best brands in the world.

Craft Extravaganza Christmas Fair

  • Where: 1 Knoll Rd, North Tamborine
  • Cost: Free Entry

Held in the craft-loving region of North Tamborine, 50 local and South East Queensland stalls will be set up to offer beautiful craft at incredible prices, just in time for Christmas. With a firm Christmas theme, you will find decorations, table runners, serviettes, placemats, Christmas cards, jewellery, pottery and more.

Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival

One of the more unusual events on the calendar, the Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival offers prizes, live music, arts, crafts and more. Aimed to celebrate the lifestyle of the mountain, everyone and anyone is encouraged to make a scarecrow and display it on the ‘Spot the Scarecrow Trail’. Fun for all the family!

Kingfisher Realty Burleigh Swim Run

  • Where: Burleigh Heads
  • Cost: $40

A fun community fitness event open to everyone aged 6 – 60. 400 metres of swimming plus 3.84 kilometres of running.

Festival of Elegance

Mudgeeraba Music Muster

  • Where: Swan Lane, Mudgeeraba

A hand-clapping, foot-stomping muster that attracts more than 3,000 visitors. You can even win a trip for two to Nashville and Memphis.

V8 Supercars Gold Coast 600
